Nathan Romine and Justin Vos have been named Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students placed among the top 50,000 out of approximately four million students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Nathan and Justin are both seniors at Whitinsville Christian School and members of the National Honor Society. Nathan is a member of the track and field team, as well as the Robotics team. Justin is one of WCS’s top distance runners, and a gifted musician in the choir and several WCS bands. They both recently competed at WPI’s Math Meet, helping the team earn its highest spot in the past five years. The official letters from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) were presented by Tammi Gorman, Dean of Faculty and Instruction, in the presence of their parents and fellow members of the Class of 2024. “I am so pleased to recognize the dedication, hard work, and intellectual prowess of these two students,” said Gorman. “This prestigious recognition is a testament to their commitment to academic excellence. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and the bright future that lies ahead. Keep pursuing excellence, and continue to inspire us all with your remarkable achievements. Well done!”
