Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act Statement
Transparency in Coverage (TIC)
Beginning July 1, “Machine-readable files” for in-network and out-of-network health care services are required to be publicly disclosed. This is the initial step in enforcement under the Transparency in Coverage (TIC) rules, part of a larger federal effort to improve transparency in the cost of health care services.
Please find our Blog Post with formal information on the Final Transparency in Coverage rule for 7/1. Here’s the odd part of the rule: The interpretation is that the company will need to provide the actual machine-readable files on the website, or the link to the files from BBA on its website. The file will be updated every month, so the link to the file is the much easier option.
The link: – https://www.harvardpilgrim.org/public/machine-readable-files – will be live on July 1, 2022 and Whitinsville Christian School can determine where on their public website to place the link. Please note that PRIOR to 7/1/2022, the link will take you to a landing page and not be active until July 1st.
*No personal/private employee information will be exposed through this link…It is a generic carrier-specific link.*
